We will transfer you from the airport to Vic, where you will stay for the first night. We'll hold the orientation session, where your bike will be specially fitted for you and you'll be presented with all the documentation and things you need for your trip.
After the session, it is time to take a walk around the beatiful city of Vic.
After breakfast, you start your tour along small, quiet country bike paths, which allow you to experience the rural part of Catalonia. After reaching Collsuspina for a secondary road, you can enjoy a delicious lunch. After the break, you will continue through very quiet rural paths until reaching your accommodation in Moià. 41 - 25 miles
Today's route will take you along one of the oldest tourist trails in Europe, the Camino of Santiago (the Way of Saint James). After reaching Santa Maria de l'Estany, with its fantastic Romanesque Monastery, the route offers great views of the Pyreenes and meadows of Catalonia. Before reaching Món Sant Benet, stop at the Abadal winery for a guided tour and wine tasting. 41 / 25 miles
Today we will be riding towards the spactacular jagged silhouette of the Montserrat mountains. The route starts down by the Llobregat river, where you have the opportunity to see one of the rural jewels of Catalonia, the "tinas" (rural constructions for wine). Then, the route starts to climb towards Montserrat, along forest paths until we reach the Monastery and our accommodation. 34 / 21 miles
A day of contrasts which allows you to discover the industrial past of Barcelona and its environs. With the backdrop of Montserrat, you go down the River Llobregat following the traces of industrial heritage to the cotton mill of Colonia Sedó. We continue along minor roads that lead to Terrassa and its examples of Modernist architecture. 36 - 20 miles
The last and easiest day of the trail, takes us past monuments which are unique in Europe, such as La Seu dEgara in Terrassa, or the Romanesque Monastery of Sant Cugat. . Finally we reach the entrance to Barcelona through the Collserola Nature Park which gives us spectacular views of Barcelona, surrounded by hills and with the backdrop of the sea. 39 / 24 miles
Barcelona hardly needs an introduction. On your final day you can take a city bike tour to see the most important sights of Barcelona: the Gothic Quarter with the cathedral, the Old Harbour with the statue of Columbus, the Ciutadella Park, the Sagrada Familia, the Olympic Port, the beaches, and of course Gaudi´s fabulous monuments.
